ZINC

about the project

Lookout Torbay Sands, Paignton

This dual development leverages VMZinc Quartz and Pigmento Red for roofing and wall cladding. The bold Pigmento Red provides a dramatic contrast, making the properties stand out while maintaining a timeless elegance.

ZINC

about the project

Killarney Springs, Bude

Using VMZinc Quartz, this project achieves a cohesive and stylish finish for both roof and walls. The material’s natural patina ensures it harmonises beautifully with the surrounding environment.

ZINC

about the project

Karrek, Harlyn Bay

This apartment complex features VMZinc Quartz for both the roof and wall cladding, creating a contemporary coastal aesthetic. Clean lines around the roof lights and windows highlight the development’s modern design.

ZINC

about the project

VMZinc Pigmento Green cladding elevates this museum with custom curved wall panels, delivering a unique architectural identity. The panels seamlessly combine functionality and an artistic edge, reflecting the museum’s modern outlook.

ZINC

about the project

Blackhill, North Tawton

VMZinc Anthra roofing and cladding take centre stage in this bespoke project. Varied seam widths create visual interest, while the curved eaves detail adds a distinctive architectural feature that enhances both form and function.

ZINC

about the project

Beeches, Lyme Regis

This elegant project features VMZinc Anthra roofing, providing a sleek, contemporary look to a stunning property. The zinc roof blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, ensuring longevity and minimal maintenance while maintaining its striking appearance.

ZINC

about the project

Padstow, Cornwall

These three properties formed part of a small development of low maintenance homes. VMZinc Quartz was used for the roof and wall cladding, creating a clean, modern aesthetic around the roof lights and windows.

ZINC

about the project

Salcombe, Devon

This exquisite home features both roof and wall cladding in VMZinc Quartz. The client wanted random width standing-seam panels, to avoid a uniform or potentially commercial look. From an aerial aspect you would see that the seam of each wall panel continues up and over the roof and down the wall on the opposite side. This project was a finalist in the Wall Cladding Project of the Year 2020.

ZINC

about the project

Bishopsteignton, Devon

This modern new build development features VMZinc Anthra wall and roof panels. We love the modern aesthetic of black zinc, and the addition of zinc to the inside of the porch gives a stunning finish. This property was for two members of the Exeter Chiefs rugby team who have started developing properties.

ZINC

about the project

Ugborough, Devon

We installed pre-weathered zinc on this extension which features a very interesting roof shape. The zinc-framed glass is a really nice feature and delivers a modern look. The client built this extension onto his house to provide space to distill his own gin (he was banned by his wife from doing so in the kitchen after he started a fire distilling a batch!)

ZINC

about the project

Chippenham, Wiltshire

With this new build home the client was aiming for a barn conversion aesthetic using zinc. We love the timber reveals they used on the bifold doors, it provides a wonderful contrast to the zinc.

ZINC

about the project

Minehead, Somerset

A Pigmento blue zinc roof was used on this extension where the client was required to have a low roof height but wanted to maximise head height internally. Zinc was the best option for them for both its aesthetic and long lifespan. The images show our neat swept eaves detail.

ZINC

about the project

Truro, Cornwall

This VMZinc Quartz roof gave this 1950s home a new lease of life! The high pitch roof with valleys, dormer window, fascia and guttering demonstrates the array of details and the clean finish that can be achieved using zinc.

ZINC

about the project

Evercreech, Somerset

Stunning newly built home using VMZinc Quartz. This exciting project has a high pitch with lots of valleys, dormer windows and roof lights showing a wide array of what can be achieved with zinc.

ZINC

about the project

Spreyton, Devon

A newly build home achieving a modern look using black zinc for the roof and wall cladding. The matching fascia delivers real impact with the overhang detail. We love the look of the black zinc alongside the timber cladding.

ZINC

about the project

Shaldon, Devon

This project was a development of ten modern, newly built homes. Nine of the houses had stunning zinc cladding on their bay windows, while the final house had a zinc roof with parapet caps.

ZINC

about the project

North Bovey, Devon

The zinc roof on this newly built home abuts seamlessly to the glazing panel in the middle of the roof. Zinc is used on the roof of the dormer window also – we fabricated hidden downpipes that drain at the front of the dormer.

ZINC

about the project

Falmouth, Cornwall

A conservatory extension using VMZinc Quartz. The zinc sits well alongside the more traditional aesthetic of the rest of the property.

ZINC

about the project

Tavistock, Devon

These newly built apartments used a mixture of white and green zinc wall cladding alongside stone to give a modern finish.

ZINC

about the project

Tavistock, Devon

Pre-weathered zinc was used on this roof in Tavistock. This proved to be the first of many projects for this architect after he was so impressed with our work on this roof.

STEEL

about the project

Bryher Barn, Penzance

This house development showcases the use of Greencoat PLX Anthracite, blending modern aesthetics with a robust, eco-friendly roofing solution. The material ensures a perfect balance of affordability and style for these new homes.

STEEL

about the project

Ivybridge, Devon

We installed anthracite PLX steel on this barn conversion for a developer who wanted to offer a low maintenance contemporary home with excellent warranties.

STEEL

about the project

Ivybridge, Devon

Steel was used on this rural barn conversion as a cost effective alternative to zinc. Between the two parts of the building we installed an interesting valley gutter detail. In recent contact with the client he has reiterated how happy he is with the end result and mentioned that visitors to his home always comment on how great the roof looks.

STEEL

about the project

Lye Hole, Bristol

This unique property is made of two wings, joined by a hallway that floats over a stream! The PLX steel roof in anthracite looks fabulous alongside the stone and timber cladding.

STEEL

about the project

Bude, Cornwall

This new build project uses anthracite steel alongside timber cladding to great effect. You can see in the image our neat swept eaves detail.

STEEL

about the project

Mannamead, Plymouth

This modern development of 30 houses features wall cladding in anthracite steel. The steel stands out alongside white render and the horizontal seams give it a real wow factor.

COPPER

about the project

Bridgwater, Somerset

We repaired the damaged bell tower on this stunning church using natural copper.

COPPER

about the project

Kings Nympton, Devon

A traditional copper shingle church steeple. For this project it was really important that the replacement shingles were very similar to the previous ones which had reached end of life. Each shingle was hand cut into a fish scale shape and carefully assembled using soldered clips. Shingle projects are quite rare but we love them when they come along!

COPPER

about the project

Spreyton, Devon

We installed a copper roof on this 350 square metre barn conversion. To break up the roof and introduce some light, the client chose to have two recess sections around the roof lights, we love this architectural detail.
