The use of prefabricated metal roof systems has increased recently. These systems are typically made of coated steel, are manufactured offsite, and are expensively supplied to the site. We can supply these solutions, but we believe that for around the same price, we can offer a much better classic seam method. The quality of finish is where you will notice the biggest difference because all of our systems have hidden fixings and all flashings are created specifically for each system on site and to size.

Using traditional standing seam you would expect to see the following:

Swept eaves detail, a neat technique we use to terminate the seam ends. In contrast, a prefabricated system would have a raw cut seam, which looks untidy and results in the steel core being exposed to the elements.

Verge flashings measured and made on-site with no visible fixings. By contrast, prefabricated flashings are fitted using screws and mastic, visible to all and a far lower quality finish.
